In June 2023 a group of young men worked with composer Liz Dilnot Johnson to write a song called
‘We Wait Together’ to perform as part of Colwall Requiem for Peace. Over the following six months, the group continued to meet every Monday afternoon to share drawings and words together in everyone’s own languages. This book shares some of the beautiful images and words of the group, who were housed in emergency hotel accommodation in Worcestershire at the time, before everyone was dispersed to other accommodation spread all across the West Midlands in January 2024. There are also contributions from families from Ukraine who are now living in the local area.
