Wilford Woodruff, an apostle of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, served a mission in England from January 1840 to April 1841. Utilising his daily journal entries for that time, which tell of the experiences he witnessed, the people he met, the places he visited, and his day-to-day activities. This book takes a modern-day tour around the places he visited, with maps, photographs, and recollections of some of the historical events that occurred during that time. It concentrates mainly on his time in the counties of Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, and Worcestershire, where he had the most success. His time in Lancashire, the Potteries, and London is included, but not in as much detail. It concludes with several biographical sketches of converts from the Three Counties.
