To Blush Unseen
ISBN 9781916919297
It is January 1986 and on the death of his mother, Milton Green, an aspiring young writer, is recalled from Tuscany to his family seat in the Cotswolds, where he is the reluctant heir to the Westbourne Estate.
Haunted by the memory of his sister drowning in the lake when they were teenagers, he blames himself for her death. But her body was never recovered, and when a photograph arrives in the post, there is a mystery to be solved before he can finally be rid of Westbourne Hall and all its dark memories.
About the Author
Chris Fothergill lived and worked in the Cotswolds for thirty years before semi-retiring to Malvern in Worcestershire and writing novels. Along the way he brought up a family with his wife, Gill, made a living tuning and restoring pianos, running a picture framing business, watercolour painting, sign-making, cartooning, and finally doing architectural illustration work. In such a career one meets many colourful characters, some of which may just have worked their way into his stories. He still goes out sketching regularly with pals and walks on the beautiful Malvern Hills with his dog, Frodo.
