Thomas of Ledbury

Written and illustrated by Hannah Tribe

ISBN 9781916919327

Thomas the cat has spent his entire life on the streets of Ledbury, sleeping under the old railway with his best friend, Gary. Thomas loves being able to roam the streets as he pleases, stealing fish from the market stalls—all with Gary by his side. He believes that nothing in his life will ever change.
Yet recently, Gary has been acting strangely, disappearing for hours, and Thomas is determined to find out why. Along the way, Thomas will learn an important lesson: that not everything stays the same forever, but that true friendship will always endure.

      Brilliant little book to read

A lovely book obviously written from the heart and an entertaining read for children and adults alike. It contains obvious affection for the little town of Ledbury which the author knows from visits to her family and is dedicated to her granny who was the inspiration for the book. Contains a description of feelings of which we are all aware of in losing a close friend and translates it into the world of cats! Well done to Hannah, your writing is beautiful.
