The scene is the Middle East, in Babylon, Jerusalem, Bethlehem.

The Three Wise Men find the infant Jesus by chance when they have other reasons for being in Bethlehem. They never appreciate the significance.

The story develops the notion that the camel is a horse designed by a committee.

This story is also available as a play with songs to be sung to the melody of the hymn ‘Forest Green: O Little Town of Bethlehem’.

The author, James Clayton, is a West Midlands-based journalist and writer. He and singer-songwriter Catherine Howe write musical plays for young people to perform.
