This anthology has been created by The Junction, Ledbury Poetry’s grassroots event programmer, in celebration of the Dymock Poets and their remarkable circle: Edward Thomas, Robert Frost, Rupert Brooke, Lascelles Abercrombie, John Drinkwater, Wilfrid Gibson and Eleanor Farjeon.
 
Published to accompany Read and Respond at the Ledbury Poetry Festival on 29 June 2026, the collection brings together original work by the Dymock Poets alongside contemporary ‘Write to Reply’ responses from local poets, musicians, visual artists and members of the community.
 
More than a century after the poets gathered in the lanes, orchards and pubs of rural Herefordshire and Gloucestershire, their voices continue to echo through the landscape – and into the work of artists writing today.
