Diana Raphael was born at Hampton Ferry, Evesham, and still lives there. Wife, mother and grandmother, she is a tireless advocate for the town, having served on the town council for thirty-five years, been mayor twice and a tour guide since 1989. She is an active town twinner and, as a former brass band player, current president of Avonbank Brass Band and Wychavon Festival of Brass. Apart from that, her occupation is ferryman at Hampton where she manages the family caravan and fishing business. Diana has a fund of memories – some of which are here.
