This book has been written out of Mary's own experience of bereavement and that of others with whom she has had close contact over a period of nearly fifty years.

Mary traces her own journey after the death of her eldest son and intersperses this with what she hopes are helpful comments, practical advice, ideas and insights into coping with bereavement.

Whether you are reading this because you too are walking with grief, walking alongside someone else who is on this journey or preparing yourself for when that day comes, this book should offer some useful guidance.
