FOOTBALL – It’s More than a Kick in the Grass is Dennis Strudwick’s account of his life and career in football which has taken him via teams at Collyer’s School, Sussex Youth and Football Clubs at Broadbridge Heath; Horsham YMCA; Worthing; Horsham; Steyning Town and back to Horsham. When his playing days were over he was lucky enough to continue his journey in the national game by embarking on an administrative career that took him, via the Sussex Sunday League and the Southern League to the top of the Football Association’s National League System, the Football Conference/National League. It is a journey that took him from Eversfield Road, Horsham, to Buckingham Palace, London.
 
I hope you enjoy this book as much as I have enjoyed recalling the friends I made and times I experienced during nearly seventy years involvement with the greatest game on earth.
