This book was written and illustrated as a gift for our two preschool adopted grandchildren. Hoping it would give them a happy understanding of the word ‘adoption’. Also, give them pleasure counting out loud and cock-a-doodling with the cockerel.
 
So, I offer this short tale hoping that it will enable children, adopted or not, to understand that to be loved is the greatest gift that can be given.
